TX Unemployment Insurance Employer Registration
Texas employers who pay $1,500 or more in wages in any calendar quarter or employ at least one worker in 20 weeks of a year must register with the Texas Workforce Commission for unemployment insurance. New employers pay a standard 2.7% UI tax rate on the first $9,000 of each employee wages annually.
