LA Unemployment Insurance Employer Registration
Louisiana employers who pay $1,500 or more in wages in any calendar quarter or employ at least one worker in 20 weeks of a year must register with the Louisiana Workforce Commission for unemployment insurance. New employers pay a standard 1.16% UI tax rate on the first $7,700 of each employee wages.
