San Diego Home Occupation Permit

San Diego's Municipal Code permits home occupations as accessory uses in residential zones subject to conditions. The business must be clearly secondary to the residential use, must not employ non-residents on the premises, and must not generate customer traffic or exterior evidence of commercial activity. A Home Occupation Permit must be obtained from the Development Services Department before operating.
